Minutes Report 02/03/2007
Fellow Members,
Due to the cold weather and windy weather, the Feb. club meeting was a
"breakfast" meeting at the Golden Corral at around 9:30 am. The following
members were present:

Joey Prescott
We all sat together in the room at the back of the resturant and after
eating a good morning meal the following took place:
#1 Wes Walton has said that he will due a monthly newsletter and has
requested that any one who would like to put some thing in the news letter,
please get the info to him by the middle of the month so that it can be put in
when the letter comes out near the end of the month. It will be an e-mail news
letter.
#2 The "multi" fly in which is June 23&24th will have a $10 landing
fee, $5 will go to the multi groupe and $5 will go to the club.
#3 We hope to be making up some club flyers soon, and will put some in a
few hobby shops and some will go over to the Henry Cty. Rec. building to be put
in thier info board for the county rec's.
#4 We are going to try to start a club training program to introduce "new
kids" to the RC sport. We will make up flyers to be give out explaning the rc
hobby, and club. This will be either a bi monthly or monthly operation
depending on the imput we get back. The club has one trainer that was given to
the club that will soon be assembled and checked out and will be for training
porposes only. Some of these flyers will also be put over at the parks and rec.
dept. We hope to get this program up and running by April, weather
permitting. Any help with this program will be gladly accepted!
#5 We will have our first "07" workday, I believe it was set up for the
17th of march. We would like to finish the last two flight stations, general
clean up, and to trim around the bushes at the sign as you come up the road to
the gate. Just a general fix up clean up work day, also a couple of the start
up tables need tighting up with some new screws. Lets make our first work day
for "07" a good one and when we are done, lets fly for a while! Rain day
will be the following sat.
#6 We will get with the county to try to get a new sign up at the entrance
from the main road by the soccer fields to be changed to something like ---
Red Hawk Airstrip, home of , Henry county RC Club.
#7We are also going to try to set up the henry county librery kids to the
same day as the multi fly-in and also see if we can invite the District 5 AMA
officiers at also attend.
#8 We hope to see "Mac Hodges" at Perry and thank him for his last showing
for us and hope he can make it again. And also to let him know that the county
will be informed about the event and hope to have a great showing this time!
#9 And last of my long winded typing,we all hope that at future club
meetings that we will have a much better showing of members. Remember, your
imput and thoughts and idea's are what keep this the great club and flying site
it is! We can't please every one all the time, but we will sure try to
please most of you all the time!
