Minutes Report 11/04/2006

November 2006 Mtg Minutes 1200pm Al O’Neill, with 26 Members present, calls Mtg to order.
• Al spoke about election of new officers starting today after the mtg. Voting can be done two ways, online or snail mail with the postcards. Ends 12/1/06 and results will be announced the next evening at the Christmas party.
• 1/6/07 Chili Fly-In and monthly mtg.
• AMA and Club renewal continues through the end of the year. (10/1/06 – 12/31/06)
• Vote was taken on removal of initiation fee for new members.
Results: 10 for 6 against
Initiation fee dropped for 2007 new members.
• Indoor Electric Event coming up in February – March timeframe date TBD
• Wes Walton discussed the AMA Jamboree Fly In for 2007 and recommended we put our name in the hat for one of them for district 5.
• Tom Breedlove said that we need to work with the county and local RV dealers or logistics.
• Financial Statement is not available due to the Treasurer not at mtg. Will be available soon.
• Next few mtg’s will be held indoors during winter months.
• It was discussed lowering dues for electric flyers to fix growing problem of “Wal-Mart” bought flyers being on same freq. with us and flying at the local parks. This will entice them to join the club and save us in the end from damaging our planes or injuring a person.
• Jim Murphy suggested 1st year free membership to park flyers as incentive.
• Mtg scheduled after first of year with the P&R Dept of Henry County.
