Minutes Report 01/06/2007
HCRCC 10:00am club meeting called to order by Jim Brooks.
• Jim Brooks: Official welcome and introduction of all new officers.
• Discussion concerning the February club meeting for officers only due to cold weather, club members are welcomed.
• Questions about surveyors: Possible road construction near the area, however, our field is only used as a point of reference.
• Two new windsocks have been installed.
• Currently we are looking at making mid March a workday. We will need all the help we can get -- lets not let this workday be the same handful of members!
• New signs at flight stations warning about flying over the soccer fields -- county is very serious about this. Every member needs to be a safety officer!
• A $20.00 membership late fee is now in effect.
• Wes Walton: Wes thanked everyone for their vote of confidence in the new officers.
• Wes wants communication to be a priority this year. He discouraged griping sessions and encouraged a constructive dialogue among members.
• Wes encouraged members to get involved and to make our club a fun and exciting place to fly.
• Jeff Adams: Would like to have five events this year. He would like to hear from
members concerning the type events we should have. Send him your suggestion: adams513@charter.net.
• Wes Walton: Announced that in June Robby was planning on having the Multi eng fly-in again, final plans will be coming soon.
Although the event is a multi eng fly-in, single engine planes would not necessarily be banned.
It is more important for everyone to show up and have a good time at the event.
Mac Hodges is being asked to show up with his very large B-29 Super Fortress.
• Jim Daniels: Jim encouraged everyone to help in keeping the field looking great. Suggestions on making improvements to the field are strongly
encouraged. Please email your suggestions and ideas to: jodjr@mindspring.com.
• Wes Walton: Wes wants to set a goal of 10 new kids to join the club this year.
He needs help in marketing our club to local schools and other organizations such as Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts.
Please email your suggestions and ideas to: wes@weswalton.com.
• Jim Brooks: Jim expressed interest in getting club activity up and going. He would like to see lots of people out flying every weekend and having fun.
• Miles Simmons: Miles made a motion to give Johnny Hinton a lifetime membership.
The motion was unanimously agreed upon.
Miles also made a motion to do the same for all active military members. All
members were in agreement, however, this may already be a club policy.
• Jeff Adams: Jeff answered a question concerning the lawnmower. Everyone agreed that a vote had been taken to sell it.
